More on me being a Slacker...

Today was my last day of class. As I took a seat in the library to kill time before Con Law I noticed the guy behind me who is in my class was sitting with five different colored highlighters doing the reading for today (who even uses all those highlighters, I mean I know 1L's do but I thought most people figured out it wasn't necessary during 1L year sometime). I laughed to myself, and made a snarky comment to him about how he was still reading and how I had given up that battle a long time ago and how I wasn't expecting to be called on during the last class period.

As we moved on to the last case we covered the Professor looked up and from the look in his eyes I immediately knew it was coming. I have a 6th sense about when I'm about to be cold called that has never failed me, and today was no expection. The next thing I heard was "[Elle Woods] have you been called on this year?" I replied honestly and said I had not. So the Professor asked "Would you care to take us through Employment Division v. Smith?" I replied "No, I think I'm going to have to pass" and went back to my quest to win every freecell game.

HAHAHAHA...the look you gave him was priceless! and I laughed because it was a major moot court case, so at least a third of the class could have answered if called upon!!! HA!

BURNSY! Ohh man, if you're reading you either are bored out of your mind, procrastinating or my writing hasn't been sucking lately...I'm going to go with you're procrastinating. The worst part was once he said peyote I realized I wrote a paper on that case in undergrad and could have pull out some BS for him.

Nothing wrong with using 5 different color highlighters...

It's called being organized.

When I do actually read I'm more of a pen kind of girl.

Using 5 colors of highlighters is not being organized - it is being nerotic.

Organized is being able to keep up 5 different highlighters.

Red pens replaced highlighters for me a long time ago.

I'm so impressed. When that happened to me in law school it was all I could do to not burst into tears. Your attitude is much healthier!
