Stay Tuned.

My laptop has to go in for a final repair before it turns 3 and the warranty expires. Posting will be sporadic until the geniuses at Dell replace the broken case.

Anyone have experience with sending laptops in? I've done it twice before and I've always removed the hard-drive first. This time I forgot to package it up before the DHL man was here, so I just kinda shoved it in the box after quickly removing the battery. Hopefully it comes back all right.

I've sent in a Dell Inspiron before without removing the hard drive and it came back just fine--if not, you can expect a phone call from a computer at Dell HQ letting you know exactly how much they're going to want to drain out of your wallet for it.
